Hi Nate (and others on the list - welcome),

Thanks for editing yr interview questions down. I have been going
through your earlier draft and trying to cut them down and adding some
of our own questions as well - whilst reading through Multitude and
trying to understand their arguments - so sorry about the delay in
posting this reply.

Ive pasted a draft version to the WIKI - see
http://www.greenpeppermagazine.org/process/tiki-index.php?page=Interview+questions%3A+Michael+Hardt

the version on the wiki basically uses your latest edited questions
(grouped under thematic headings simply for personal reference) with
some added ones about war, democracy, biopolitics etc. please have a
look over them and make any changes/edits/etc. what emerges is something
in between your earlier and later drafts in terms of density.

there are 2 questions that still need obvious attention:

1) the question added on 'naked life' in the section on biopower is
incomplete. it still needs a very concise summary of Agamben's
understanding of biopolitics as opposed to Hardt and negri's.

I was trying to draw out the differences between H & N's idea of body as
potentiality rather what they suggest is Agamben's idea of naked life as
negative limit of sovereign power of humanity as passivity. But i got
stuck trying to summarise Agamben's thesis in one or two sentences. If
annyone has ideas on this please edit the text on the wiki>>

2) nate the final question re: possibilities and dangers - i didn't edit
because i couldn't understand where it was going. maybe you could try
and sharpejn it up??

ok. to others on the list. welcome. we'll be sending around the call
for contributions on the list in the coming days.

more soon,

cheers

gavin
